My Michigan state Taxes didn't file

I filled my taxes. My federal went through but my state didn't. Its now asking to pay for the state taxes even though I bought a federal + state.

TurboTax desktop includes one free state download but you still have to pay to efile the state return.

Im sorry I didn't give enough information. When I filled my taxes the state and Federal were both 0 dollars because I bought the state + Federal from Amazon. I don't believe  the program filled my state taxes. When I click on check my e file status, I only see the federal tax return. I see no evidence that the state taxes went though

You should have received an email from TurboTax showing that they were submitted.  You may need to check your spam folder.  The state return can't be submitted electronically until after the federal return is accepted by the IRS so the system holds it until the IRS accepts your return and then submits it.  So it could take an extra day to process the state return.

I don't think you e-filed your state return.   The state program is included with the federal that you bought from Amazon.  However, the e-file fee is separate.  If you did not want to pay the e-file fee, you should have filed your return by mail.    When you purchased from Amazon, it came with 5 FEDERAL e-files, 1 state download (to prepare and mail your return) and zero state e-files.

How do you file the state separately

You should be able to open your return, click on State Taxes and file the return.   You have to print it out and mail it if you don't want to pay the e-file fee.
