My last refund was too high! Would like to adjust my W4 for TY24

I know my withholding is too high - I tried using the IRS' W4 calculator, but the amount it told me to add was way too high (something like 31k??) Please help me figure out what number should ACTUALLY go there 🙂

You can use TurboTax's W-4 Calculator to assist in filling out your W-4: https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/calculators/w4/.

You may also want to use the TurboTax Tax Caster tax calculator to estimate your 2024 tax liability: https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/.

By using both of these tools, you can fill out your W-4 and take into account your entire tax situation for 2024 by getting an estimate of what your refund or tax owed will look like when you file your return. You can then adjust your W-4 withholding if necessary.
