My income is exempt and less than the gross income required to file for a single person. Should I still file?

I received a W2 this year despite my income being exempt due to the 2014-7 IRS rule and submitting the Live-in Self Certification form.  No federal and state taxes were deducted, however, SDI, FICA, and Medicare were.  I'm in California.

No. You don't have to file and you would have no refund due if you did.

From the State of California: "Your exclusion from FIT and California State Personal Income Tax will continue each year you continue to work for, and live with, your recipient and you will not need to re-certify every year."
