My federal filing status is Head of Household vs Mar Fil Sep. TurboTax preselected Single for my state taxes instead of Married Filing Separately. How can I change it?

Go back to the Personal Info/ My Info section of TurboTax and make sure you have answered all of the questions correctly in order to determine your marital status.

 

This TurboTax help article has information about the different filing statuses. If more than one filing status applies to you, TurboTax can choose the one that gives you the biggest tax break.
