My federal e-file was rejected because the AGI didn't match last years and when I looked at it it said last years taxes were not completed? but I received a check!

You can go to the IRS website and to an online (downloadable) copy of your 2016 tax return to verify the AGI that the IRS has on record.  You will just need to set up a user account which is fairly straight forward.
