My e-filed return was rejected because there is a potential issue with the calculation of your Taxable inherited IRA. Have others received this error?

The CARES act did not require an RMD. Since I didn't take a distribution I didn't receive a 1099-R. Do I need to create a 1099-R and just enter zero for the distribution?

If you did not receive a Form 1099-R then there is nothing for you to enter concerning a form 1099-R or an RMD.

It looks like quite a few others received the same rejection. There are hundreds of posts to the "My return was rejected due to FED_Taxable_Inherite..." thread. It looks like most people just refiled today without doing anything and were successful.

For our return.

There is no inherited IRA entry in our 2020 return.

Husband has an 8606 form.

We both did a small partial conversion from traditional to Roth IRA.

Thanks
