My daughter was a full time student for 5 months and the was in the Americorps for 6 months in Arizona. Since she was still financially dependent as this was a volunteer,
Since this was a volunteer position, does this time away count as being at home and is she considered a dependent. She is 20 years old

No, time spend for Americorps does not count as living with you, unfortunately. Only the time spent as a full time student (5 months) qualifies for dependency reasons.
