My consolidated 1099 is available at Vanguard, but TurboTax says it is not ready. Is there a disconnect or is it just a matter of waiting a few more days?

Probably

The consolidated PDF may be available in your Online account, 

........but the tax import files have to be specially formatted before they can be imported into turbotax, and that file may not yet be available..

TurboTax said Vanguard Brokerage was supposed to be available 2/16/2017. But attempts to import say the import is unsuccessful. I just spoke to Vanguard, and they say the forms aren't linked to TurboTax yet. They are supposed to be available about the middle of next week.

Turbo tax is behind vanguard. The forms are ready for import but my guess is that turbo tax is relying on date vanguard announced availability. Vanguard is ahead of schedule but Turbotax hasn't kept up.
