My claim said I’d be getting over 3000 back the other day but it was rejected. I fixed it and now it says I’m getting almost 1000 less. What the hell

The changes you made to the data to fix your return changed the calculations on the taxes owed.  If you had printed/saved the version you had the other day, you can compare the data to see where the calculations changed.
