My child has scholarship income which Pub 970 says to report on Line 1 of the 1040. How can I do this in TT?

if student has scholarship income in excess of tuition and fees, student must file their own tax return.

Does this mean then that I enter the 1098-T on my child's tax return?

Yes. If he is a dependent you get any of the education credits and he get to pay any tax on the scholarship. Only the taxpayer claiming the dependent can claim the credits, but any scholarship that is in excess of tuition is the child's income.
