My child died December 2021. She received a final paycheck from her work in 2022. When asked for her Date of Passing, TurboTax doesn't accept a date in 2021. Help!

What can I do to circumvent this issue?  It won't let me past this screen, without putting in a date on or after 1/1/2022.

Sorry for your loss.

The final paycheck would be income in respect of a decedent that would be reported on IRS form 1041 Income Tax Return for Estates and Trusts.

I am also very sorry for your loss.

This is income in respect of a decedent, but it would be reported as income by the person or entity who received the proceeds; either her estate or you, as her parent.
