Unfortunately, there are several 2020 forms now that the 2nd stimulus passed that are still being revised by the IRS and the states.

To review which forms are not yet available and a tentative date of when they will be:

TurboTax Online & Mobile

TurboTax CD/Downloaded for Windows

TurboTax CD/Downloaded for Mac

Keep in mind:

  • When you locate your form, there will be dates for both Print and (in most cases) E-file availability. If the E-file form is listed as unsupported, the form must be printed and you'll need to mail your return.
  • Forms that are missing from the table are not supported in TurboTax.

I finished my taxes and need to make estimated payments for 2021. However, Turbotax has a large print on the vouchers saying DO NOT FILE - FORM NOT FINAL. I tried doing a manual software update "w_perrelsuperpatch" and that didn't work, either. HELP!!!

The forms are completed in that names and amounts are filled in, but the overprint (or watermark) is present. What now? It appears that, because the 1040-ES payment voucher was completed by Turbo Tax, that I am required to pay estimated taxes, but TT hasn't provided the means?????

The Form 1040-ES Estimated Tax form for paying 2021 estimated taxes are for your use only.  To use them or not is your choice.  The IRS does receive a copy of these forms when a tax return is filed.

The latest update on 02/18/2021 removed the Do Not File watermark.

It's April 3rd 2022 and I just redownloaded tubotax pdf. and my 1040-es forms for Virginia still have the watermark on them. When will this be removed? Or does this matter when printing form out and paying

state est. taxes?

Please follow the instructions here to manually update your software and try to file the return again. @dpeters89

CarissaM, sorry my post was not clear. I am working from online version of TurboTax. No software

to update. I have already filed for the year back in February. Today I logged into TurbolTax and

downloaded my tax return in pdf form hoping they would have my usual state 760-es forms prefilled for

sending in state quarterly estimated tax payments and thats where form has water mark

"do not file - form not final" stamped on them. Confused why this is on forms???? Forms look complete, Im sure state would still take my money regardless.

@dpeters89

Try this procedure, the forms should not have the watermark for Form not final -

To access your current or prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

When you sign onto your online account and land on the Tax Home web page, scroll down and click on Add a state.

This will take you back to the 2021 online tax return.

Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the online program screen.  Then click on Print Center.  Then click on Print, save or preview this year's return.  Choose the option Include government and TurboTax worksheets
