Married US citizens currently over seas wife works. She is tax exempt for this year and next. Do I file jointly or separate as I have college and other items?

Yes, you can surely file jointly. Just be ready to provide the paperwork for proof if IRS requests in the future. Filing jointly usually gives you a bigger refund especially when you have college expenses as separate filing status disallows you to claim those.

Let me clarify some information here. So both of you are US citizens? What do you mean by your wife is tax exempt?

Hello, by that I meant, she won't be dual taxed by both the country were in and the US. She has filled out the paper work for that many months ago and she is all set to not get dual taxed.
