Made a mistake in saying "Yes" to a 1095-A form before realizing our forms are 1095-B or 1095-C. How do I correct this to "No".

Turbo Tax will not let me change it

To change your answer to "No" for receiving from 1095-A follow these steps

  • With TurboTax open enter 1095-A in the search box
  • Click on Jump to 1095-A in the results window
  • On the page Did you receive Form 1095-A for your health insurance plan? check the No radio button

I’ve changed it several times and it keeps going back to yes. I

e-filed a 2nd time after I fixed it and was rejected again. After checking it had changed it back to yes again

Sometimes TurboTax makes you go ahead and complete the entry.  Then you delete the entry with the trashcan Delete icon to put the software back in balance.  You already clicked Yes so:

  • Create a false 1095-A by entering basic data, marketplace identifier, policy number and any 3-digit number in all of the the three columns A, B and C.
  • Hit Continue.
  • At the screen Let us know if these situations apply to you, click Continue.
  • At the screen Here's what we have for your 1095-A, click the trashcan Delete icon.
  • Cycle through to Federal Review.
