Legacy bank showing up on TT online

I have a legacy bank carried over from prior years. I did not bank with the institution in 2024. TT online will not electronically file the tax return because (a) I can't get TT to delete the bank and (b) I don't have the bank's TIN.

I looked at related questions. This is not a cookie issue. My laptop is new.

Delete the form(s) associated with that bank.

There are no forms issued by the bank. The bank info was carried over from the prior year by TT. There is no ability in TT to delete the bank. Because there is no TIN, TT won't allow me to file online.

You should be able to delete any form that TurboTax prepared relating to the obsolete account. In TurboTax Online:

  1. Open or continue your return in TurboTax.
  2. In the left menu, select "Tax Tools" and then "Tools".
  3. In the pop-up window Tool Center, select "Delete a form".
  4. Select "Delete" next to " " and    follow the instructions.

Search the list of forms that appears for the one that includes the obsolete bank information. Click Delete where it appears on the line next to it.
