We had to hire a lawyer to fight with the IRS over our 2014 filing. We also had to pay $700 for an accountantto review and refill those taxes. Is any of the $6,000 or $700 deductible?

Yes. You can deduct these type of expenses, as long as you itemize deductions. They will be included as miscellaneous deductions and the deduction will be limited by 2% of your adjusted gross income. Therefore, you will get a deduction for the amount of expenses that exceed 2% of your adjusted gross income. Please view the Turbo Tax FAQ below, for more information about these itemized deductions.
