Last year I was married and filed jointly. This year, I need to file as head of household. How do I change this?

Was divorced in July of 2024, how I need to change to file as head of household - I paid all the housing expenses (single income) and have a dependent living with me.

When you go through the interview with the program it will give you the proper filing status.

Start a new account with a new user ID.   If you try to use the old account that was used for past joint returns, removing all the spouse stuff will be too hard.  It will trigger errors that will drive you nuts.
