Yes, they don't send receipts ... the cancelled check or CC statement are your proof of payment. You can check with the issuer of the MO to see if it was cashed or get an account transcript from the IRS :

However, if you filed your return more than 6 weeks ago and you didn't get a payment demand letter yet then it is most likely that it was received and cashed.
On which website is it showing due? If you are referring to the TurboTax website it will show the taxes owed since TurboTax has no way to know if or when you paid the taxes owed.
If you ever mail a money order or check to the IRS use a mailing service that will track it like UPS or certified mail so you know it was received. I think money orders have tracking numbers on them that can be checked somehow. Ask the bank from which you purchased the money order.
Yes on the TurboTax website it still shows due but it makes sense that they would not know. I just never received a receipt or anything and I don't want to have issues this year.
TurboTax has no way to know what you put in an envelope and took to a mailbox. And the IRS does not provide feedback to TurboTax regarding whether you paid your tax due. The other thing you can do to check on this is look at your tax account on the IRS site:https://www.irs.gov/payments/view-your-tax-account
