Just amended 2020 taxes due to new 1099-R taxable amount $137. Turbo Tax printed out 4- 2021 1040-ES Payment vouchers totaling $40,000. Other page indicates I owe $62.

TurboTax indicates that I only owe $62

Ignore all the vouchers that print out like the 1040ES and 1040V.  Just pay the amount due on the amended 1040X return.  It's too late to pay estimates for 2021 now anyway.

The amended return is only for the difference you get back or owe.  I think the cover sheet shows what the original return WOULD have been if you did it right the first time.

Go by the actual 1040X.  Line 18 should be your original refund amount and line 22 should be your additional refund.  If you paid on your original return it will be on line 16.  If there is an amount owed with the amendment, it will be on line 20.

If you have a tax due, do not send the 1040V.  Just include a check with the 1040X.  Ignore the 1040V.  That is for the original return or what the original return would have been if it didn’t need correcting.  Don’t pay the amount on the 1040V.  Pay the amount on the actual 1040X.

The Form 1040-ES are only used to pay 2021 estimated taxes, so you can discard those.  The payment voucher, Form 1040-V is probably for the original taxes owed.

Look at your amended tax return, Form 1040-X on Line 20.  This is the amount you owe.  Include a check for the amount owed with the amended tax return that you have to mail.
