J1/J2 resident aliens based on substantial presence test eligible for Economic Impact Payment

TurboTax states I am eligible for the Economic Impact Payment of $1,200 ($2,400 for a joint return, which we do). I have read J-Visa is exempt and I am worried I do a crime, but TurboTax does not provide any option to explicitly put in my status (J1 resident alien based on substantial presence test). Am I doing something wrong?

If we are eligible, will they wire the money together with our tax refund to our US bank account? How long will it take?

There is no where on your tax return to list your resident status. If you qualify to file a US tax return 1040, then you should do so by answering the questions in TurboTax truthfully. If you don't qualify for a stimulus payment based on your resident status, it will be up to the IRS to make that determination when they process your tax return.

You stimulus payment for the first two rounds will be sent along with your refund, the third payment will be sent separately.
