There was a price increase for the online products on March 1.   Live Self-Employed increased from 169.99 to 199.99 at that time.   Prices are subject to change unless paid in advance.   And the price is determined at the time of printing or filing.   A state return is an additional 44.99 (increased this week.)

And if you choose to pay your fees out of the Federal refund, there is an additional 39.99 service fee (44.99 for California filers.)

In any case, a lot of people are reporting problems with that email and the 25% discount (or in some cases a 50% discount.)

We're trying to verify that it's an official offer emailed by TurboTax, but it has not been verified yet by the Moderators in this user community forum.  So it's not completely clear yet what all is going on.

In any case, you should phone in and speak to TurboTax Customer Support to report the problem and let them deal with it.  They can also explain your fees, if necessary.

Since you have the Live TurboTax product, you can contact them through that, or you can use the method below.

You must already be seeing the 25% off.  Currently Self Employed version Live version is 199.99.  And state is a separate 39.99.

The price for Live Self-Employed increased on March 1 to 199.99 for a Federal return, and a state return increased this week to 44.99.  See the full info below.
