It says I owe one amount in federal taxes, and then a different amount now that my returns have been accepted

So TurboTax says that I owe $203 in federal taxes, and that my state return is $114.

I set up payments for the $203, but now it’s saying that I owe $83. Did they take my State return out of Federal? This is my first year doing my taxes myself, so I’m absolutely confused.

(I did the free version of TurboTax to clarify).

What you are seeing is the Net between the tax refund and the taxes owed. It does NOT indicate that the tax refund is being used to pay the taxes owed.
