It is illegal to ask me to pay for tax services without the correct billing amount

When I went to pay for the tax filing using a credit card today, it asks for a credit card, but does not contain the total amount that will be debited from my card. Isn't that illegal?

Your statement at the end of my return states "other fees" but does not state the amounts.

So, therefore, we agree to an undisclosed amount.  How is that legal?

I will pay the $40. filing fee up-front, as long as you do not slip anything else in the cost. But to wait until after the IRS processes the application and TT takes out $40. PLUS OTHER UNDISCLOSED FEES. The filer has no idea what the other fees are.

PS

I see "Tax Home" and "Documents" the only tools I find.
