Issue with reporting 401a aftertax contribution and rollover to Roth IRA

Hi all,

I made voluntary after-tax contributions to my workplace 401(a) account in 2024 and moved this over to my Roth IRA as a mega-backdoor conversion rollover. As I'm filling out my 1099R form on Turbotax, there's a yes or no section that asks "Did you make after-tax contributions to a 401(k) or 403(b) plan?" but it doesn't specify a 401(a).

Has anyone run into this situation and is there a way to proceed? Do I say "yes" since the 401(a) aftertax contribution is akin to an aftertax contribution to a 401(k)/403(b)?

Answer Yes.
