E-filing an Amended Return for my mother for 2022. She received a corrected 1099 after she filed original return, which was successfully e-filed. Father passed in 2022, so return is a surviving spouse return. There is a refund on the amended return. Looks like we cannot direct deposit the return into any bank account.
After removing the bank account information, the system still automatically generates a Form 8888, which at this point, is neither necessary nor needed.
Any work around for that?
