Is tpg legitimate. The are asking for some specific information that you should have. Is that proper procedure

To answer your first question, yes, Santa Barbara Tax Products Group (SBTPG) is a legitimate Financial Services Company which operates as a subsidiary of the Green Dot Corporation. TurboTax uses their services whenever customers opt to deduct their fee's from their refund (RPS).

They are just reaching out to verify some information in an attempt to protect your refund and prevent fraud.

TPG is not legitmate they are a shell company and they will take hundreds off your tax return and refuse to answer calls
