is this a known issue with e-filing only 1099-nec income and no 1040 income?

i used tubotax premium and got this message when trying to e-file. a tax expert said I can't e-file with all zeros on a 1040.

That is correct.  You cannot E-file with a return that only has $0's on it.

keep in mind that i e-filed my 2023 taxes using another company after receiving the message pictured. my return only had all zeros on the 1040 form. is this ineligibility a turobtax exclusive?

Did you enter the 1099NEC income?  It should have filled out schedule C and been on 1040 line 8.  Did you have a loss on schedule C?  You should have been able to efile.  But you could have entered $1 of fake interest to let you efile.  That's what we tell people that only have Social Security income which is not taxable.

i entered my 1099 income, i had losses on schedule c, I did not "fake" any information when e-filing using another company.
