Is there any way to switch from IRS Free File BACK to Deluxe?

Is the only option to make a new account, so start all over again after 8+ years of using Turbotax? There is no prompt or warning saying your account will  be tied to Free File now..

Yes, you can do this.  I just did this and here the steps I took

Signed in to account with the IRS FREE EDITION

Exit out the browser (DO NOT SIGN OUT)

Open browser again and go to https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/online/

PICK THE ONE YOU WANT TO DO

WHEN SCREEN LOADS IT ASK YOU DO YOU WANT TO SWITCH FROM IRS FREE TO THE EDITION YOU CHOOSE

GENIUS!!!!  I was in a panic for a moment over the stupidity of it all, but your trick worked perfectly. To be extra sure I opened a new browser (Edge vs. Chrome) and followed the instructions exactly.

OMG, that was the coolest hack I've seen in a while. Thanks a lot TrueAnswers.

I didn't see this solution anywhere else, and everyone else who tried to answer this problem didn't know what we were talking about bc they haven't experienced it. This actually worked. Even stupid TurboTax help couldn't answer this for us. . .

Thank you! It kept kicking me off the app, so I went on Chrome and this worked! Stupid software.
