Is there a way to open an old 2006 turbotax file? I don't believe that a pdf copy was an option back then.

I'm pretty sure there has always been a save to pdf. At least back to the mid 90s.  If you have the .tax file try this website to convert it to pdf.  Www.Taxprinter.Com
