Is there a reason they have so many new hidden fees and I paid double what I did last year to do my taxes?

There are different versions of TurboTax online.  Some can report IRS forms that others do not. 

 

Please see this website comparing the different versions of TurboTax.  As you scroll down the column Commonly filed tax forms and schedules, you can see that not all versions can report all the IRS forms.

Perhaps there is a difference in the kind of income you are reporting this year versus last year.

 

You may want to review your fees to find out for what you are being charged.  Follow these directions. 

• Down the left side of TurboTax, click on Tax Tools.
• Click on Tools.
• Click on My Fees in the center of the screen.

Now you can see what you have been charged.  This TurboTax Help will give you information how to remove a state tax return and/or charges for which you do not want to pay.

 

To remove all fees and start over, you can click Tax Tools, then Clear and start over at the bottom left of the screen.

 

 

@JamesG1 So you are saying that if a customer uses the "free" e-file with no taxable income, we must delete the entire return and start over to remove all the extra hidden fees automatically added without customer approval? That is a shady fix to a shady problem with intuit. Customers are not happy with all the extras they do not need and are charged for. Stealing is not a good way to keep customers.
