Is there a reason as to why I have to upgrade just to file my taxes?

I am unable to get past the part that says to accurately complete your taxes, you need to upgrade to TurboTax Deluxe.

In the regular Turbo Tax Free Edition, information that you can enter is limited now.  Why do I have to upgrade from the Free Edition?
