Is there a less expensive filing option for full time college students ?

There are two free options right now. It looks like you are in TurboTax Deluxe online and that's a paid version. Did you try Free Edition? If not, go here Is TurboTax Free Edition right for me? and see if you meet those requirements and if so, you can use that version. 

Free Edition only handles 1040EZ and 1040A returns with the standard deduction. So it'll prompt you to upgrade if your tax situation doesn't fit it. 

Freedom Edition may be another option for you. Go here What is TurboTax Freedom Edition? to see if eligible for it, if Free Edition isn't a fit for your tax situation.
