Please confirm my understanding that the deadlines for both income tax return and gift tax return (form 709) have been changed to July 15th, 2020. Also, I don't have to request any extensions or additional forms to delay submitting until July 15th, right? Thank you.

I cannot find that in the IRS Notice (see link below), which appears to apply to income tax returns only.

Regardless, you can get an automatic 6-month extension by filing Form 8892 (if you are not also filing an extension for your income tax return).
No, you do not need to file an extension to extend the filing or payment due date. No, the normal filing and payment due dates for estate and gift taxes have not been extended. Please view Q7 in this IRS link for verification.
