The questions are all seem to be about someone who lives states away, with cars and addresses that I am not associated with. I have very little credit history, but I would like to check for fraud.

security questions are generally in a format that allows you to select one among several. the answer you give doe not have to be correct. however, if you need the security questions to access info, you have to remember which question and the answer. giving false answers, can make it harder for hackers. for example what city were you born? easy to find out. so an answer i might give is Bikiniatoll. high school? SingSing.
You can get questions like that if your name is a common one. Also, sometimes there are "planted" irrelevant questions to make sure you are not an identity thief or a robo-computer. One of my banks always asks me Q's to which my answers are (correctly) "None of the Above."
