Investment name change on 1099-DIV

Some of my 1099's have a new investment name due to buyouts (e.g. Invesco bought Oppenheimer).  Do I delete my old items from last year's turbotax and enter the new names for this year or can I just edit the current 1099s that are listed from last year?

EIther way is fine as long as all the details are correct with the rest of the 1099's, like EIN and addresses. Yes, you are correct, the names should be updated this year.
