TTax has screwed up once again and i need help!

They say the ssn i use on my return s is not my ssn so they will not help!

I am ready to sue!

Sorry for the delay.

Yes, they do know the social the program was registered to.

No, I was Not using the pro help.

They finally called me Sunday and then Monday.

The executive could clearly see my Identification when she called.

The first level and the supervisor insisted my social was incorrect

and would not help me when i called.  I insisted on being called

by an exec because of this.

AS to what happened TT shut down the state filing at 11:00 our

time so no federal filing went through. The same issue apparently

happened last year. After disabling the state on Sunday we were

able to file federal electronically.

The federal was later rejected because of the previous years issue but

was fixed after  adjusting the AGI.

The whole reason for the extension was because of a loss  and scrambling

of data due to a forced Microsoft update.  I needed extra time to straighten

that out.  I would really appreciate compensation for the issues and angst

over the past 2 years

That rejection is coming from the IRS.   Rejections and acceptance come from the IRS--not TurboTax.   So it is possible that someone else has put your SSN on a tax return---either on purpose or accidentally.   If your SSN is in the system already then you cannot e-file.  The IRS will reject any return with that SSN now.   TurboTax cannot help with that.   The only way you can file is by mail.  Print, sign and mail your tax return.

When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s.  Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.

Federal and state returns must be in separate envelopes and they are mailed to different addresses.  Read the mailing instructions that print with your tax return carefully so you mail them to the right addresses.

I was speaking to a tt support agent they were

not

willing to help me.

I did not get a rejection from the IRS.

Please remove your post as it is confusing people.

If you did not get REJECTED, what is the issue that prompted you to contact Customer Support ?

Then exactly what is the issue with your Social Security number that you say customer support would not help you with?     No one in the user forum can see your account or your tax return so we cannot help unless you explain clearly.

Are you using a Turbotax Pro to prepare and file your return? Otherwise, Turbotax itself does not know your SSN

What is the exact message and where exactly do you get it?  Can you post a screen shot?  Turbo Tax might know if the ssn has already been filed through Turbo Tax.   It could be just an honest mistake that someone typed their ssn wrong and got yours by accident.   You will probably have to print and mail your return this year.
