Did the IRS send you a letter? What 16 digit number are they asking you for?
As a taxpayer, you correspond with the IRS, Intuit-TurboTax won't do that.
If you need a 6 digit number you didn't know about, it means IRS assigned you an IP PIN.
go to IRS.gov to retrieve it, not to apply for it.
