Independent Contract Nurse

My wife is an independent contract nurse and earned only $585 and therefore did not receive a 1099.  Where should I enter this income?  Thanks in advance for your help.  Russell

If your wife did not get a form 1099-MISC, you can enter the income she received as Other self-employed income income.

  • After creating a business profile, click on Add income for this work (see attached screenshot 1)
  • On the next page, click on the radio button Other self-employed income (see screenshot 2)
  • Click Continue and enter her income on the next page.

If she has expenses to claim against this income, she has to upgrade to TurboTax Self-Employed.
