income not on W2

Where to report income , stipend as au pair with no W2. Now married and claiming resident.

Yes, you would report this income as W2 income if you were an employee. 

 

  1. Go to income or wages and income.
  2. Go to Miscellaneous Income
  3. Other income not reported on a W-2 or 1099
  4. First screen will be a yes answer
  5. Continue through the next three screens and then say yes to the Question did you earn any other wages
  6. Enter any other earned income. Say yes.
  7. Enter source of other earned income, say other
  8. Now describe this as Au Pair Stipend income and make separate entries for both you and your wife, by splitting the stipend income in 1/2.  See screenshot provided below. i am using $30,000 to illustrate this.
