Most likely, the program automatically added the rebate to the “refund meter” as you were filling out the rest of your information. When you confirmed that you had not received a payment, it was not removed, but it was also not newly added.
You will have to check line 30 of form 1040 on your final return. After you have paid for the online version, or after you have registered for the free online version, you have an opportunity to print your return before proceeding to the final filing step. If there is any missing information, you can go back in the program and fix it at that time.
Please check line line 30 of Form 1040 to see if the Recovery Rebate Credit was applied on your return.
Please be aware, before you entered the stimulus payments received the refund shown in TurboTax includes the amount of Recovery Rebate Credits as if you didn't receive any stimulus payments. Once you entered the stimulus payments it took some of the Recovery Rebate Credit off and showed the correct amount.
