In the free file, where do I report non-employee, non-C, non-1099, and non-SE income?

I was (sadly) unemployed all year. I made some money doing odd jobs, like helping someone move, painting a room, etc., for a bunch of small cash amounts like $40. All prompts indicate W-2, 1099, or self-employment income. In what field would I report that?

That is self employment income.

You can enter Self Employment Income into Online Deluxe or Premier but if you have any expenses you will have to upgrade to the Self Employed version.

Or There is also The Turbo Tax Free File program which is free for federal and state.  And has more forms than the Federal Free Edition, like Schedules A, B, C , D, E, F, EIC, H, K-1, SE,  etc.

To qualify for the Free File website  you just need to meet one of these 3 things.

AGI $36,000 or less.

Active duty military with AGI of $69,000 or less

OR qualify for EIC (earned income credit.)

In order to use the Free File program, you have to start it at a special website.  Click on the Orange button I Qualify, Let's get Started

I’m already using the Free and thanks, and I’m already done except for adding this bit of income — my confusion was that I always thought self-employment income was when you made money under a business name, not just someone handing you cash to help them move (for example).

It sounds like the income you earned should be reported as self-employment income.

This TurboTax Help asks questions to determine whether you are self-employed.
