In prior years, I could open a worksheet to allow me to enter details that it would sum for a line in the return. Can't find it this year. Also, how do you tell whether an item has been marked as estimated? Only in review??

If you are using the CD/Download version of TurboTax, you can open a Supporting Details worksheet for certain fields when you are in Forms Mode.

To do this:

  1. Go into Forms Mode by clicking on the Forms icon in the top right of the blue bar
  2. In the Forms in My Return list on the left, click on the form you wish to open.
  3. Click on a field in the form.  If a plus sign (+) appears, click it and a Supporting Details window will open.
  4. You can make your entries and the total will appear on the form.  [See screenshot below.]

You can tell which fields have been marked Estimated in Forms Mode.  It will appear in red and italics.  If you're not sure what form it may be on, run the Error Check by clicking on the icon at the top of the Forms in My Return list.  [See screenshot below.]
