For the second year in a row I have been unable to import Vanguard tax forms. So I have had to type in the amounts. Numerous emails to Vanguard resulted in the same "song and dance" response that I got last year with no resolution.
I file my taxes with Turbo tax online and after typing in the Vanguard 1099B information Turbo tax said the IRS requires that I send the IRS a copy of the Vanguard 1099B form by mail along with the hard copy of my tax return or (if I wished to file my return on line) I could import a pdf file from my desk top that would be included in my 2023 tax filing on line to the IRS. And that is what I did.
Has anyone had the same experience that I did with Vanguard tax forms? As always my Fidelity tax forms imported right away. While dealing with Vanguard I cleared my cache, made sure my browser and OS were up to date, and still no luck with Vanguard forms import for the second year in a row.
