Im trying to file my 2020 taxes but not clear on a couple issues. 1. Im on SSDI and to my understanding imowed to make up tp $2000 a month. I wish. I made less than $5000

Should i file taxes on it? After expenses its more like $1700 is what i made. Plus my SSDI payments. Dont know what to do, im trying for PUA and last years stimulus money. Never got anything at all

when filing a tax return the rule is simple : report all income.

TurboTax figures your tax. That's what you're paying for.

If you have direct deposit for your Social Security you should have received your stimulus money automatically last year.   But if you did not receive it you can get it as part of a 2020 income tax refund now.   Use the recovery rebate credit.   Enter ALL of your income on a 2020 return.   You mentioned having some income with "expenses" -- did you have some self=employment income for which you need to prepare a Schedule C?

In order to file your tax return for free and prepare that Schedule C, use Free File.

If you qualify to use it, there is another full-featured free version of the software:

Try Free File:

You qualify if your income was $39,000 or less, or $72,000 or less if active duty military, or if you qualify for Earned Income Credit

Free File is at a special web site:

https://freefile.intuit.com/

The stimulus check is an advance on a credit you can receive on your 2020 tax return.  If something went wrong or you did not get the stimulus check in 2020, you can get it when you file your 2020 return in early 2021

The Recovery Rebate Credit will be found in the Federal Review section,  If you are eligible it will end up on line 30 of your 2020 Form 1040.
