Im trying to file my 1099k and 1099-MISC, but it wont allow me to file as independent contractor it keeps putting me asnthe owner of the business

why cant i file as an independent contractor

If you are an independent contractor, the IRS considers you to be a self-employed "business", and you are the owner of that business, not whoever pays you for your work or services.
