If you've set up a payment date for your e file, does it automatically pay on that date or do I have to do it manually ?

Your payment will be withdrawn by direct debit on the date you specified, you do not have to do it manually.  During the busy time of tax season it could be a day or two after your due date.

@fanfare  I stated in my answer the payment was by direct debit.  Also, when you file & set up a payment date, it is by direct debit.

answer is correct assuming you elected direct debit and entered a correct routing and bank account number.

Is there a way to view that date you selected?

The date you selected to have the federal taxes owed debited from your account will be on the Filing Instructions page when viewing or printing the tax return from Print Center.

To access your current or prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

When you sign onto your online account and land on the Tax Home web page, scroll down and click on Add a state.

This will take you back to the 2020 online tax return.

Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the online program screen.  Then click on Print Center.  Then click on Print, save or preview this year's return.
