How do you know you were rejected for the stimulus check?

Did you file a tax return for 2018 or 2019?   It is possible this was rejected because the IRS already has your information (if you filed your 2018 or 2019 tax return with them).  If the IRS rejected your stimulus submission, you will have no choice but to print it out and mail it to the IRS.

it doesn't mean you are not eligible for the stimulus; worst case it means you'll get a paper check and not direct deposit of the money owned you.  (I agree it's it poorly worded)
