If they confirmed I had a dependant why would it say I didn't qualify for head of household because I didn't pay half of the expenses..I paid for them all

It is important to finish all the screens in the My Info section, as they will make a difference in other places in the return. 

Please go back to check My Info, from the left menu.  
Click on the down arrow beside Filing Status and it will open up the interview, so you can complete all the questions. 

Watch for this screen.

If all of your dependents are not showing on the list, please step through their questions as well. 

For Head of Household (HoH) filing status, you dependent must be closely related. An unrelated person (e.g. your girlfriend or her child) would not qualify you for HoH, even though they qualified as a dependent. A cousin would also not be closely related for HoH.
