If there is anything done wrong with the preparation of my taxes, will turbotax or the IRS correct them?

Depends what needs correcting.   Some things the IRS will automatically fix.  They will mail you a letter.  Turbo Tax won't do anything after you submit your return, only the IRS.

IRS computers check for many common errors.

Other errors IRS does not notice.

If you have an error on your return, you need to file form 1040-X to correct that, after IRS has

finished processing your original return.

As a practical matter, besides the legal ones which would prevent it from correcting returns, Turbotax never knows that your entries are incorrect, so it will never correct your return.
