If the address on my w2 form for my job isn’t the correct address what do i do

You are not required to correct your address on your W-2 form itself as long as you use the correct address on your tax return.  You can inform your employer and ask for a correction, but you do not need to delay the filing of your tax return.  Keep it with your tax files should you need it later and if you amend, for any reason, be sure to always send a copy of your W-2 with an amendment.

Just enter your W2 exactly how it is on your W2.  Just make sure your tax return has your current address.  If your W2 is wrong and you haven’t moved since you have that job, then you need to have your employer fix it.
